altChristina Dempsey, BSN, MBA, CNOR - Sr. V.P. for Patient Flow, Press Ganey Associates | Ms. Dempsey is a registered nurse with over 20 years experience in perioperative nursing, perioperative and emergency services management, supply chain and materials management, and physician/hospital collaboration. She serves as project director and clinical/operational expert for Patient Flow client implementations. Since 2002, Ms. Dempsey has been at the forefront of patient flow initiatives. In her tenure as Vice President at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, she led the collaborative effort between physician and hospital leadership to improve patient flow throughout Perioperative services and beyond creating 59% more inpatient capacity by smoothing the flow of elective admissions to the hospital.

altJim Reilly - Managing Partner, TRG Health Care Solutions | Jim graduated from the University of Colorado with a finance degree and began his healthcare career with a national hospital system in 1989. His career includes 17 years in health care consulting with LBA Healthcare Management, GE Medical Systems and beginning in 2001, TRG Health Care Solutions. Jim is a founder and the managing partner of TRG which has been focused on hospital and physician alignment since its inception. Jim has managed over 200 projects in his career focused on hospital and physician alignment, service line strategic planning, and performance improvement. Additionally Jim has training in Six Sigma problem solving, Health Care Executive Management and Leadership, Change Acceleration Process, and Work-Out Facilitation.

Ronald S. Walters, M.D. - Associate V.P., Medical Operations & Informatics, MD Anderson Cancer Center | Dr. Walters is a breast medical oncologist and is responsible for the professional aspects of Clinical Operations including Medical Informatics, the Tumor Registry, the Transfer Center, Managed Care Programs, Uncompensated Charity Care, Clinical Safety and Effectiveness and our Physicians Network. He serves on multiple institutional committees striving for improvements in patient care, research and support systems.

Susan R. Kiley - V.P. & Chief Managed Care Officer, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System | Susan Kiley is responsible for: managed care contracting for system facilities; administration of and contracting for the St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System IPA; International Business Development and Marketing; and serves on the Board of Managers for St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital at the Vintage. Susan was previously Executive Director for the Bone and Joint Clinic of Houston and also served in various positions at CIGNA.

altDouglas A. Thibodeaux, M.D. - Chief Medical Officer, Oak Bend Medical Center | Dr. Thibodeaux earned his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his residency at Detroit Memorial Hospital before becoming board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Since 1964, Dr. Thibodeaux has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology in the West Houston area. During his 45 years he has delivered over 14,000 babies and received many accolades, being named in the first edition of Best Doctors in America for Obstetrics. He has been elected Chief of Staff by his peers at the different Houston hospitals where he has practiced over the years. He has always been driven to self-education, ensuring he is up-to-date with the latest methods, medications and procedures.

altJoseph Freudenberger - CEO, Oak Bend Medical Center | Mr. Freudenberger has spent over 23 years in healthcare, the first 10 as a consultant with Deloitte & Touche working with major healthcare systems around the country to improve their business operations and the last 13 as CFO/COO and now as CEO for both for-profit and non-profit hospitals in Texas. He has overseen every department in a hospital during his career and is intimately familiar with all revenue cycle operations, managed care contracting, physician relations, debt financing choices/issues, risk management, systems and clinical operations.

Claire Rabalais - System Director Decision Support, CHRISTUS Health | Ms. Rabalais has worked for Christus Health for 15 years in a Decision Support role. Currently she is responsible for development and implementation of standardized scorecards for 27 facilities as well as other business intelligence tools and data warehouse applications. She has a masters in public accounting as well as a minor in computer engineering.

altDavid Witt - CFO, CHRISTUS St. John Hospital |Dave Witt has been in the healthcare industry for over 15 years and has worked at CHRISTUS St John for over 2 years. Dave is responsible for the financial oversight of the hospital with $89 million in net patient revenues and with over $17 million in Voluntary Free Care and Uninsured Discounts provided to the people in the coastal communities annually. Dave received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and his master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Arizona. CHRISTUS St John Hospital has 176 beds and seven outpatient sports therapy clinics.

McKee - AVP, Business Affairs, MD Anderson Cancer Center | Chris McKee serves as chief of staff for the Office of Business & Regulatory Affairs in its coordination of business and infrastructure planning and operations at the institution. Chris has been with MD Anderson for nine years and is a graduate of the University of Kansas.

altMalisha Patel - Director of Operations, Perioperative Services, Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital | In addition to her operations role, Ms. Patel is actively involved in numerous committees and is overseeing a Cath Lab buildout. He has extensive experience in the consulting arena, as a result of his 10 plus years in the business. His project related work has taken him on multiple multi-national Business Intelligence and ERP implementations, including national work for Fortune 500 companies. He has extensive expertise in process management, data acquisition, data management and performance management. Chris’s current responsibilities include customer acquisition, account management, solution design, implementation and consultant development.

Keith Metcalf - V.P. Sales & Marketing, WCI Consulting | Keith Metcalfe leads the charge for getting the word out on how WCI Consulting can assist potential clients as it relates to the integration/ cleansing and promotion of data within an organization. His 10 years in
the Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing industry have given him the ability to understand a client’s data challenges and transform them into a coherent Business Intelligence strategy.

altJohn D’Amore - V.P. Enterprise Performance Management Solutions, Eclipsys | John D’Amore joined Eclipsys in August 2009 in his current role, responsible for helping lead and support product direction, sales and client involvement in Eclipsys’ growing Enterprise Performance Management suite of solutions. Mr. D’Amore has over seven years’ experience in analytics and strategic insight for healthcare organizations. He worked first as a consultant at Health Advances, interviewing leading physicians and hospital executives to analyze and forecast healthcare demand. In 2005, Mr. D’Amore joined Memorial Hermann Healthcare System as System Director of Decision Support. In 2008, Memorial Hermann won the Eclipsys Circle of Excellence Award for Financial Achievement and subsequently received the 2009 National Quality Forum Award for exceptional care. Mr. D’Amore holds a biochemistry degree from Harvard University and is enrolled in graduate studies for clinical informatics.

altVictoria Nikitin, FHFMA, CPA - Director Operations Improvement/Decision Support, Harris County Hospital District | Victoria Nikitin is the current chair of the Texas Gulf Coast certification committee. She has been with HFMA since 2001 and has chaired the committee since 2003. In 2008, the Chapter has been identified as one of the top performers in terms of the number of certified members or the highest number of exams passed by members. From 2003-2008, the Certification Committee received several Silver and Bronze awards for excellence in certification and a Yerger award for a certification program.

altDonald G. Sands, Jr., CPA - Director Systems Accounts Payable, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System | Donald G. Sands, Jr. has been involved with financial management for over 25 years. His professional qualifications include a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Finance. He has attained FHFMA, CPA, and CMA certification. He served for several years as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston – Clear Lake. He has worked in the oil, engineering and healthcare industries. He has been both a consultant in the area of accounts payable as well as a worker.

He is involved in several professional, civic, social and charitable associations, and currently is Chairman of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Risk Management Association.
